Unanchor was founded by Erin and Todd Mosier.
In 2008, Erin and Todd were on a trip to Paris, France. Upon arriving at the airport, Erin and Todd needed to make a transit transfer. During the transfer, a friendly French stranger helped them navigate the confusing system -- and unknowingly planted the seed that would eventually become Unanchor.
Inspired by that act of kindness, Erin and Todd spent the next two years traveling through Southern Africa and Central and South America, collecting stories, tips, and insider knowledge from locals everywhere they went.
Todd has worked part-time with Unanchor for a couple of years and, in February 2020, he purchased the company. Today, Unanchor offers self-guided travel itineraries crafted by locals who know their cities inside and out.
